What is ewedu soup?
How to cook ewedu soup is one of the simplest things ever to achieve. Ewedu soup is a common soup eaten by the Yoruba tribe in the part of Nigeria. It is made using ewedu leaves, which is a very nutritious leafy green plant, eaten in countries around the world.
Similar to Egyptian molokhia or okra soup, when cooked, the mucus has a (somewhat thinner) texture, making it an ideal dish to go with fufu. Yew soup is almost always made with Nigerian beef curry or fish broth.

Ingredients:
Big Bunch of ewed Leaves
2 cups water
1 tablespoon locust beans (both)
stock tablespoon ground crayfish
1 bullion cube, I use 1/2 Maggie crayfish
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Choose any of your leaves and make sure you do not pick a stalk/stem with it. The leaves are:
To get rid of dirt, wash the leaves thoroughly. Pour water into a medium-size pan, place on a bob over medium heat, bring to a rolling boil.
Add the leaves and boil for 2 minutes, then add the locust beans and continue boiling till tender, about 8-10 minutes.
If you are using a broom (Ijab), use a broom to beat the leaves.
If you are using a blender, take it out of the heat and leave it to cool slightly … do not turn off the heat.
Add the avocado to the blender with a fork, making sure you are not adding all the water, just 1/2 cup. More water affects the viscosity of your udder.
Transfer the venison back to the pan, add the ground crayfish, bouquet cube and salt to taste
Turn off the heat and simmer on residual heat for 3 minutes. Sometimes to avoid burning.
Notes
Do not Cook or overdo the ewedu soup otherwise, it will have an unpleasant taste. Not necessarily bad but you know that something is not right.
Grasshopper bean can be mixed with ewedu leaves, which will make you or your child happy.

-bunch Ewedu leaves
-A cup of water
-1 cup of potash or preferably please use Bicarbonate soda instead of that. Bicarbonate soda known as baking soda is more healthy for consumption
-2 tsp. locust beans
-Salt to taste
-Ijabe (Traditional broom whisk) Or Blender
Directions:
Step 1: Remove the ewedu leaves from the stem. Wash the plucked leaves in clean water – Set Aside.
Step 2: In the little pot, add the water and potash and leave to heat up. Once the water starts to boil, add the ewedu leaves and leave to cook for about 6 minutes. Off the burner and mash with the broom. Alternatively, if you don’t have the broom, leave the boiled ewedu to cool a little then pour it into a blender and blend smoothly.
Step 3:Turn the ewedu back into the pot and turn the burner to the lowest. Add the salt, crayfish and locust beans. leave it to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
