Oven bags vs. conventional roasting is a point of contention. The goal behind an oven bag is to keep moisture and flavor in. Turkey breasts are available boneless or bone-in. Bone-in turkey breasts are often larger and contain both sides of the breast, whereas boneless turkey breasts typically have only one breast. This recipe will work with either, though a single boneless turkey breast will take less cooking time.

TURKEY SKIN: IS IT REQUIRED?

We are firm believers in cooking with bone in and skin on meat. The flavor is unrivaled, and there’s nothing quite like crispy skin. If you want to eliminate additional fat for dietary reasons or simply don’t like the skin, you may always peel it before roasting.

WHETHER TO BASTE OR NOT TO BASTE:

Basting necessitates frequent opening of the oven door, resulting in significant heat loss! You do not need to baste, and we actually advise against it with this recipe. If you opt to baste, you will need to allow for some more cooking time.

How much time does it take to cook a roast turkey breast?
